The weekly premiere of season 4 of The Boys allows viewers and curious fans to pay attention to all the details that each episode leaves behind. So far, three episodes of this latest installment are available on Amazon Prime Video and they include a scene that was not planned in the scripts written by Eric Kripke.

This was revealed by Kripke himself on his social media, telling that there was an actor who improvised a scene in the first episode. At the end of it, we see Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) opening an email from Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), in which he tells her that he has erased the trace that Hughie (Jack Quaid) had left as far as she is concerned.

However, when she opens the file, she finds something unexpected, to put it in some way. And it turns out that the actress's reaction was completely spontaneous.

'The Boys', temporada 4

The previous installment follows the titular group who now work for Victoria Neuman's Office of Superhero Affairs to stop the problematic Supes, after having been at peace with the Seven.

However, the conflict resumes once Butcher starts investigating the truth about the apparent death of Soldier Boy, one of Vought's first American superheroes, hoping to kill Homelander once and for all.

In the new episodes, Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office, although still under the control of Patriot (Antony Starr). Butcher, who has only a few months left to live, has lost Becca's son and his position as leader of the Boys after the rest of the group got tired of his lies. Nevertheless, they will have to find a way to work together and save the world.

There Will Be a Fifth Season

The renewal announcement came in mid-May, a month before the premiere of the fourth installment, with an official statement in which Katherine Pope, president of Sony Pictures, said: "Since its premiere, fans from all over the world have joined The Boys on this wild journey. We couldn't be more proud of the team that brings this brilliant madness to life. Now, with a fifth chapter of their story, we can't wait to see where Eric Kripke and The Boys go."

Kripke, showrunner of the series, said on his part: " The Boys could be the best job I'll ever have. What other series allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family, and explosive genitals, even if not in that order?".
