'Shogun', 'The Bear' and 'True Detective' sweep the Emmy nominations: complete list of candidates
This is the complete list with the nominations for the 76th edition of the awards that recognize the best of television series.
The television season is still ongoing and officially kicks off the race towards the Emmys with the recently announced nominations. Colegio Abbott actress Sheryl Lee Ralph and Veep actor Tony Hale, previous award winners, have been in charge of announcing the candidates for the 76th edition of the awards.
Leading the list of candidates is Shogun, named in up to 25 categories and with nominations for Best Miniseries, Best Actor, and Best Actress for Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai. Closely following is The Bear, with 23 nominations and competing in the comedy categories.
Among the most nominated are also Reservation Dogs, another FX series that made it to the list with its third and final season; and Solo Murder in the Building, Hulu's original series also available on Disney+.
On the other hand, the most nominated miniseries or anthology series this year has been True Detective, which, with its fourth season Polar Night, has received 19 nominations. Also worth mentioning is Apple TV+, with nominations for The Morning Show, Palm Royale and the miniseries Cocina with chemistry.
And finally, among the most nominated from Netflix we have The Crown, with its latest season, and the miniseries Ripley and My Stuffed Reindeer.
